Hi there, I'm amy!
My Journey to Becoming an Literacy Consultant
After 25 years in public education, I’ve seen firsthand how critical teacher knowledge is to student success. I’ve worked as a classroom teacher, learning specialist, Title I teacher, vice principal, literacy specialist, and adjunct professor. Now, as a national literacy consultant, I partner with schools and districts to ensure every child leaves second grade with proficient reading and writing skills.
I believe in listening first, then working together to find solutions. Through data analysis, professional learning, and coaching, I help educators build the deep knowledge needed to transform literacy instruction.
Every session is an opportunity to build relationships, teacher knowledge, enhance instructional skills, and ultimately improve student outcomes.
